Are you working on the 11th of August 2017? Well put an “out of order’ sticker on your forehead and call it a day, since you simply can’t miss out on the Hermanus Wine & Food Festival 2017! Go get your dose of the most delicious food the Western Cape has to offer at Curro School, Sandbaai, and while you’re there, how can you say no to Rose all day? Tickets are R50 per person and children under the age of 12 can attend this event for free and for only R120 per person, you can taste over 250 premium wines.
Still not convinced?
This year will be the 19th Hermanus food festival, and to celebrate they went all out, with over 200 wines from various wine estates, a wide variety of olive products, a top selection of local and international cheeses, and we all know cheese is all the rage in South Africa at the moment since every South African “hou van Kaas Bra”. If you however do not agree with Jan Bloukaas, there will be other creative and divine food stalls at the fair, as well as live local bands to set the mood. This particular festival has also been voted as one of the top ten festivals in South Africa!
Unsure how to get there? Just visit the Hermanus Wine Tours website. On the website you will find a map and the GPS location, as well as suggested other activities in the surrounding area such as shark cage diving, whale watching and where to find the most precious little Shell shops. The Hermanus food and wine festival supports the Arrive Alive organisation, and thus there will be designated driving services at special prices available at this festival.
